Faced with environmental challenges and labor shortages, agricultural robotics has a major role to play. SABI AGRI is launching the SRBC robot, a 100% electric, modular agricultural robot now available online from €13,500 (excl. VAT) at www.torque.works. a clear ambition to democratize agricultural robotics in an agroecological context.
An agricultural sector where change has become essential
The agroecological transition requires concrete, robust solutions that are compatible with the realities and needs of farms.
First, the electrification of agricultural machinery is an essential lever for reducing the sector’s carbon footprint. In France, for example, agricultural machinery emits 8.3 Mt CO₂ eq., representing 18% of agricultural emissions and 2.5% of national emissions (AXEMA Decarbonization Foresight Study, 2025).
At the same time, farmers must deal with :
- labor shortages,
- the exhausting nature of repetitive tasks,
- the need to adopt agroecological practices, particularly mechanical weeding, which significantly increases workload.
Agricultural robotics is a major lever to address these challenges. However, despite its potential, it is still not widely adopted: technical complexity, high costs (often between €30,000 and €200,000), and the lack of simple solutions limit its deployment.
This is precisely the barrier that SABI AGRI is breaking.
The SRBC robot: a new path to make robotics accessible to all
With the SRBC robot, SABI AGRI is introducing an innovation that shifts the paradigm: the first modular, self-assembly agricultural robot sold online from €13,500 (excl. VAT).
This online distribution model ensures full price transparency and secure, immediate access for all farmers. This new value proposition is key to democratizing agricultural robotics
The “self-assembly” approach allows farmers or workshops to build the machine themselves and put it into operation safely and confidently. The assembly process is fully supported through comprehensive technical resources — detailed guides, video tutorials, illustrated documentation and dedicated assistance — enabling every user to assemble their robot autonomously and safely.
A 100% electric and 100% modular robot
Designed to meet real-world agricultural needs, the SRBC adapts to a wide range of agricultural uses while delivering strong environmental benefits (soil preservation, zero emissions in use).
It offers extensive versatility to perform daily tasks such as seeding, hoeing, soil preparation, crop monitoring and transport. It relieves farmers of repetitive, time-consuming or strenuous tasks and then supports the adoption of agroecological practices.
The SRBC robot offers solid technical capabilities :
- Autonomy up to 12 hours depending on work (two battery options)
- Centimetric RTK guidance for maximum precision
- 1.5 kW electric motor
- 250 kg lifting capacity compatible with multiple implements
- Towing capacity up to 500 kg
The SRBC robot therefore provides farmers with practical, cost-effective and safe access to agricultural robotization.
SABI AGRI : a strong expertise ensuring reliability and robustness
SABI AGRI was born out of the combined experience of farmers, mechanical engineers, and entrepreneurs. The founders are convinced that advancing machinery is essential to transforming practices toward sustainability.
The SRBC robot is the result of SABI AGRI’s unique experience in agricultural electrification and robotics Since the beginning of the project more than 10 years ago, the company has deployed nearly 150 electric vehicles across France, representing hundreds of thousands of operating hours in real-world conditions. Continuous field feedback enables ongoing improvement and guarantees robustness aligned with actual farming needs
This extensive experience ensures the reliability of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the maturity and robustness of integrated robotic behaviors.
The SABI AGRI team relies on unique industrial skills, bringing together in-house expertise in CAD design, mechatronic engineering, robotic engineering, metal fabrication and wiring/assembly.
The SRBC robot embodies these values: simplicity, modularity, efficiency, and accessibility for all farmers.
Conclusion: practical, accessible robotics suited to farmers’ needs
With the SRBC robot, SABI AGRI is opening a new path toward the democratization of agricultural robotics. Affordable, versatile, electric, adaptable and designed for real-world use, the SRBC robot becomes a true driver of robotization for thousands of farms.
